I’ve decided to do something that has been a long time coming. I’ll be overhauling the current membership program on my site.
Right now, I used a membership program called “simple membership”, which as you can imagine, is really simplistic. This has been extremely limiting.
At the moment, all of my content is locked by Patreon. For those of you in my Full Frontal Access, the way it works is that it’d backdoor itself into the Patreon system, giving paying members the same access as Patreon.
This meant if I had a problem with Patreon, you all lost access, if I had a problem with my website, you all lost access, and if I had a problem with simple membership, half of you lost access.
I’ve now ponied out for a much pricier membership program, and we’ll be setting it up. This will probably mean a lot of troubleshooting and perhaps outages where you can’t get access. If you find issues, feel free to let us know. A lot of things will change. The Full Frontal Access will be completely redone. We may also end up changing my storefront, how vouchers are done, as well as how downloads are done.
This should fix a lot, allowing me more creative control of the membership so I can schedule membership changes and all kinds of stuff. It may allow you to pay with alternative forms of payment beyond Paypal too. Hopefully, it’s worth the cost of entry.
