Dear Guys,

I usually don’t do this anymore, but when I first started, I used to have stretch goals. Basically, amounts that if people donated, I would write more. As I reached the limit of what I could feesibly write, and perhaps more importantly, as I diversified the ways I recieved payment (I now have four separate ways to become a member), it made it harder to make some of these promises.

However, despite everything, Patreon still remains one of my primary means of membership, and also the one I’ve seen take the hardest drop over the last 2-3 years. Originally, I thought this was because of me removing the “link” feature… but I’ve added that back and yet I still see Patreon slowly dropping every month. I don’t know if this is indicative of the playform, or me as a writer. In all honesty, the drops I see in patreon don’t translate to rises in the others methods. Stripe, Paypal, and Subscribestar remain pretty consistent in their monthly profits while Patreon drops constantly.

Anyway, point of topic, I’d like to see my memberships going up, not down, and despite me continuously have more and more content than ever before, and most people telling me my current writing is superior to my prior works… well, yeah, I’d like to continue to be able to do this.

So, here’s my goal. I’d like Patreon to reach $2500 a month again. Right now, it’s sitting at like $1800. If this goal is reached, I will put Oops, I Banged My Bully’s Mom and Rise of the Midnight King into circulation. Specifically, I will release them every alternative week, so two chapters a month of each locked, and then 1 chapter a month public. So, if my goal is reached, they will get public and membership releases, with twice as many membership releases as public releases. Add Premium Polls to the mix, and you get realistically get 3 chapters a month as a member, which is all I usually put out for WoW and many of my other series anyway.

So, if you have a membership with one of the other services, you can switch it to Patreon (not exactly what I’m hoping for, but it’s not like I can stop you), or you can add a second membership with Patreon, or you can increase your donation or whatever you want. (Sorry, I don’t believe yearlies are factored into this). Whatever it takes to get to $2500.

These were seemingly the most popular books for nonpaying readers. So, this is your chance to talk with your wallet. If not, that’s fine. I go back to writing either way. When I Am My Own Grandpa finishes I’ll pick the final volume of Tales. WoW is getting to the end too, slowly but surely. That will be replaced with Enslaved. Everything else will come with Premium polls. Let’s see if these stories are as popular as I hoped they are.

Sincerely,

Whatsawhizzer
